Valerie Stimac has lived across the globe but spent her formative years in Alaska. After living in cities including Seattle, London, and the San Francisco Bay Area, Valerie re-discovered a childhood passion for space and combined it with her professional career as a writer & blogger.
Valerie covers a number of topics, including space and astrotourism, Alaska travel, travel trends, and travel blogging. She runs several websites of her own on these topics.
Valerie worked with Lonely Planet for the last four years as a local expert in both Seattle and San Francisco before publishing Stargazing Around the World: A Tour of the Night Sky (February 2024/2nd ed.) with them.
